I was stunned, my mind completely blank and my body. Frozen. It took a few seconds before I could even force a word out.
“You… you actually can take me to her? But…but she left… years ago… No one even knows where she is.”
“Yeah, well, she popped back into town recently. Guess life didn’t go well for her out there,” my father grunted, clearly annoyed at my hesitation. “So what’s it gonna be? Are you coming or not? Stop stalling. Don’t waste my time.”
