The cuffs bit into her wrists as she thrashed, nails digging into her own skin. “You can’t do this! You’re not putting me away!” Sara hissed at Lady Valentina.
Valentina’s expression remained calm, almost detached, but her voice cut through the tension like steel. “Tomorrow’s trial will decide everything. And when justice is served, every single one of your games will cost you dearly.”
