  Elena’s POV   The moment I realized my phone had no signal, a tight knot formed in my chest. My pulse raced as I hurried back toward the cabin, my stomach twisting with unease. Just as I reached the study, Eric stepped out, calm as ever.   “No signal,” I blurted, my voice sharper than I intended. “I can’t reach anyone.”   Eric appeared in the doorway of the study, his expression calm. “I noticed,” he said lightly. “The mountains block signals sometimes.
