Natalie calmly picked up the cup of coffee and walked out.
As she passed by the secretary's office, two men started making snide remarks again.
"Makes sense why Mrs. Carter is so successful—she's got the patience to let the mistress walk all over her and still play the obedient wife. Unlike us, who had to slog through years of hard work just to get where we are."
"Exactly. Guess it's our fault that we can't bring ourselves to take shortcuts."
Natalie ignored them, added some sugar to the coffee, and brought it back.
Cora took a sip and frowned in disgust. "This is awful. Forget it, I won't force you to make another one. You can get out now."
