I can’t leave Iris!” “Then leave the other one.” Oliver stopped her from walking any farther. “I don’t want to leave her.” “Sounds as though you’ve made your decision,” the Stranger said, pulling her shoulder away from his grip. Oliver stood there, confused and anxious. “What do you mean I’ve made my decision? I’m right back where I started!” “Shhh, keep your voice down.” The Stranger grabbed hold of Oliver’s arm and they both dropped down in the stream. By the look of the banking, this stream was man-made and most likely used as a flood release. They approached the iron barred grate and looked around every crevice for any type of mechanism to open it.
