CARPENTERS “Hugo! I mean, Po! What are you doing after practice?” I asked, picking up my pack. My first quest was to protect Po, but from what or who, I had no idea. I didn’t even know if it was a quest or just my own mind playing tricks on me. The kid had immediately fit into our group, like a missing puzzle piece we never knew we needed. We’d never had a squire before, and it felt great to not have to do all the grunt work ourselves. He was eager to do anything and everything we asked and had once pointed out a flaw in Roc’s technique that even Yokel had missed. He was a perfect addition to Whiskey Danger. I figured there were only two ways to protect him, if that really was what I was supposed to do. First, I’d have to get to know him and keep him close, training with Whiskey Danger.
