Richard looked over at me and our eyes locked. He turned and caressed my face with his other hand. The emotion behind his eyes, and coming from our bond, was overwhelming.
Fate-struck wolves were more attached to their mates than most wolves. After mating, most werewolves fall even more deeply in love with their mate, but fate-struck wolves need their mates to make them feel complete. They change completely if they lose their mates. It looked like Richard might become more volatile.
