The car stopped at the front door where Lily Anne’s mom and dad waited for me with the housekeepers and palace guards. I stepped out of the vehicle and walked towards them while General Hanazaki walked behind me.
“Your grace!” the royal staff greeted me.
The Duke and Duchess were smilingly welcoming my presence as I proceeded towards them to give my bow of greeting.
“Your grace!” they greeted me before I was able to speak.
“My honor, Duke and Duchess,” I told them.
“Raise your head, your grace.” The duke said, “There’s only one Duke in this palace, and it’s you, your grace.”
