Frankie had been correct, it was a perfect day for a picnic. The sun was shining down, each ray like a warm hug, and a subtle breeze kept them from overheating. The grass had recently been cut but was growing fast in the summer heat, daisies popped out all over the lawn. Frankie, Brittany, and Liam sat on the large dark blue blanket. The fabric had a detailed pattern of ivy and birds weaved in, and each corner was knotted, it was one her father brought back from one of his many business trips. A picnic basket sat in the corner.
