Big Is An Understatement 🗻

*Amelia* "Here we are. Welcome to the Adams Estate." Coach announced our arrival as we pulled into a long driveway. I gotta admit, the house was pretty big. If you could even call it that. Big is an understatement for this two-story mansion. It had to have at least 7- 8 bedrooms. It looked very homey too. There was a full garden to the left of the house and a path to the right leading to what looked like a private cottage in the back surrounded by weeping willows. I was speechless. The home looked like somewhere you had your happily ever after. "This is.... so beautiful." I was whispering because it was so beautiful that it felt too fragile to yell. "Glad you like it. I know you're being put in an uncomfortable situation, but I still want you to be able to relax while we're here." I knew he meant it. Coach has always wanted to help me as much as he could. He always went over and beyond for me and I loved him for it. I looked over and gave him a reassuring smile as the car came to a stop. "This is just the main house. There's a path that leads to about 6 guest homes for visitors who are not family, and there are two houses for the employees who choose to stay on the estate. "There is so much this place has to offer. All of which is hidden from public view for privacy. You'll get to see all its glory when you get a tour of the estate. You are family after all." He winked at me and turned off the car. I took that as my cue to exit the vehicle. As serene as this place was, I had to admit that I was still a little nervous about it all. The way the sun's rays danced against the property made it even more enchanting. Too bad this was just a temporary stay. I could get lost in the beauty of this place. "I can't wait for the tour." I had a genuine excitement bubbling on the inside. I've already made up my mind that I wouldn't let this opportunity go to waste. I'm going to actively work to stay away from the dark recesses of my mind. I may have to be a jerk as much as possible while I am with the guys, but that works for me since it'll mean I'll be spending more time on the ice instead of hanging out. I slung my duffle bag over my shoulder that I grabbed from the trunk, adjusted my red and black snap-back cap, and started up the stairs behind Coach. I decide to throw on a pair of black jogging pants, a red undershirt, and a white Nike hoodie to hide my figure. I wasn't skinny by any means. I weight trained so I was very toned out. I'm 5'8 and 171 lbs. I loved my body and I worked damn hard to keep a figure most girls pray for. My stomach is flat. My ass is fat. My t**s are full and perky.... and it all goes to waste because I'm a 'Certified tomboy'. That's what all the guys that aren't related to me think. Those idiots think that 'tomboy' automatically means you're a lesbian. Granted, I've never really shown interest in any of the guys I've been around. So that kind of makes sense, if you have a brain the size of a walnut. Don't get me wrong, I love to be feminine when it's necessary, so I usually only get real lady-like for my competitions. I don't do dates. Hell, I don't do dating, period, so yeah, competitions only. I knew Liam would want me to play the part as soon as possible so I got a head start on things, which wasn't hard at all. I went all out and bought some expensive blue contacts from a brand that had great reviews on how realistic they looked so that I could hide my green eyes. Coach sent me a picture of an ugly-ass unrealistic wig that they'd bought for me, but I refuse to wear that hideous thing. Instead, I cut my fiery red curly hair from butt length to mid-back length. I didn't try to define my curls after I washed them. I just blow dried my hair so I'd have a puff ball in the back of my cap like guys wear. I hung out with enough guys with long hair to know what styles would be acceptable and what wouldn't. This is going to be my new go-to style while I'm here. The only thing that is changing really is the bottoms. I usually wear some sports leggings or running shorts. Before he could reach for the Ring doorbell a voice sounded as the blue light lit up. "I'll be right out, Jake; I'm just grabbing my keys to the jeep so we can head straight to the department stores." Coach turned to me with a shrug. "Ok, I guess we'll wait right here then." I was trying to hold back my smirk but I couldn't. "So...... it's Jake from Statefarm is it?" I couldn't let him have all of the corny jokes and have none of my own. "Don't even think about it." That was a warning I was more than willing to ignore. "So is it Jacob?... or should I just call you Jakey poo from now on because "coach" just isn't working for ya anymore." I tapped my finger on my chin and scrunched up my brows to pretend I was in deep thought. Irritation was written all over his face. "Don't test me short stack, and its Dad to you, while we're here." Time for the icing on the cake. "You're right..." I put down my bag and held up my hands as I began backing down the stairs to get ready to bolt back to the car. "BIG DADDY JAKE IT IIIIIIIIISSSSSS!!!" I yelled in a fake deep jock voice and ran for the car while dying of laughter. Oh how I loved to torment Coach. The blush on his cheeks and look on his face was a sight to remember. He was gonna kill me one day. "You're gonna regret that real soon boy!" I was too caught up in my fit of laughter to pay any attention to my surroundings. Which is how I ended up running into a brick wall. "umph." I fell flat on my ass and was a little dazed from the impact. "I told you about goofing off Melvin." Coached stressed the name as he rushed over to help me up. I looked up at the mountain of a man that I ran into. If a man is what you can call this giant Geesh, were all the men this big in this family? Once I was back centered on my feet and my vision became clear, I was ready to lay into the asshole in front of me. Apparently, it was time to prove my lineage. "I would've been fine if this fu...cking... oh my damn..." My voice was barely a whisper towards the end. I had finally gotten a good look at Mr. Mount Everest and boy, was it a long and satisfying good look. My eyes were not modest about their exploration either. Years of picking up the bad habits of men I guess. He had shoulder-length midnight black hair that was sticking to his forehead and neck from the sweat that was running down his body. My stuttering heartbeat, the flipping butterflies in my stomach, and the raging waters pooling in my panties were a testament to how ripped that body was. This man is chiseled to the gods! No one, and I mean no human being, has ever made me feel like this. Oh God, I'm in trouble. His striking blue eyes were making their own evaluation as they searched for familiarity. His chiseled chin was tense and twitched a little from irritation, I would assume. He had one raised eyebrow and a smirk on his face, daring me to finish my insult. Well s**t, I was speechless. So much so that Coach threw his arm over my shoulder to shake me out of my daze and leaned down to whisper in my ear sternly. He obviously didn't want the giant to hear. "Quit drooling and get your s**t together. It's game time. And for f**k's sake remember our #1 rule: no boys." That sobered me up pretty quickly. He was right. I couldn't jeopardize this opportunity all because my hormones have decided to spring to life. I gave a quick nod, indicating I was good to go, so he turned to the giant and cleared his throat. "Trenten.. I want you to meet my son, Melvin. He'll be starting at the university with you guys tomorrow. You'll be seeing him around in hockey practice." Oh, double s**t. Coach then turned to me with a warning look I understood all too well. "Melvin..... This is Liam's son, my favorite nephew, and the Captain of the team you'll be joining. This is Trenten." Fuck my heart for reacting to that name. I kept a straight face as I gave a quick response. "Sup." Yep. These next few weeks were bout to be a whirlwind if my heart had any say in it. Too bad I've never been a "follow your heart" kind of girl.
