“The ending disappeared.”
The words hollowed the room out.
Lyssara wasn’t dramatic.
She didn’t exaggerate.
When she spoke about visions, she spoke carefully—like every word mattered.
So the fear in her voice terrified me more than the creature did.
Arinya held her tighter immediately. “What do you mean disappeared?”
Lyssara shook her head quickly, tears starting to spill. “I can’t see past this anymore.”
Kaelor’s expression darkened. “That’s impossible.”
“No,” Draven said quietly.
Everyone looked at him.
And somehow—
that calm answer made everything worse.
Draven stepped closer to Lyssara slowly. “What changed?”
Her glowing eyes flickered faintly again.
Then she whispered—
“She remembered herself.”
