He turned around. His eyes were very unreadable and very dark. He looked at my hands as I summoning an orb of light. His eyes wide with astonishment and then they closed. He had fainted right in the middle of the circle.
“Someone get him some water.” I said almost panicking
Johnathan came with a bucket of water and he splashed some on Joshua’s face. When he came to, Johnathan gave him some water to drink.
When he was back to normal I said “you must keep what you saw an absolute secret.”
“All right,” he said “just no more lies all right?”
“All right.” I said
He went to go back to his house and I told him that I would be there as soon as the meeting was over.
“Back to why we are here.” I said
“Oh, right.” Johnathan said “we have great reason to believe that the Prince and Princess are in danger.”
“What?!” I said “we must go at once.”
“There is a slight problem, my Liege.” He said
“What is the problem?” I asked
“We need some time to prepare for the journey.” He said
“Oh, right I did not think about that. How about we take tomorrow to prepare, and we leave tomorrow night?” I asked
“Alright.” He said “Tomorrow night it is.”
“Good, we will leave as soon as the sun sets. Meet me in front of the gate at my house at five O’clock sharp. We will board my ship and leave at five thirty.” I said
“Right.” Johnathan agreed, “We must save the prince and princess at all costs.”
“Alright, everyone may go now. We all need our rest for tomorrow.” I said
“Wait!” William said “And am I not going?”
“This is a very dangerous task.” I told him “And I need you here with everyone else to make sure that nothing happens here.”
“Yes, I understand that My Liege.” William said “But yet you go and you are engaged. If not the urgency, Thomas would have gone with you. I feel that I have been here long enough and if you do not let me go.”
“You will do what?” I asked my voice going quiet and deadly, “I am the leader of this entire league, and I am in charge of nine other people William. Who goes with me on the missions and who stays here to make sure nothing goes awry is my decision not yours. I gave you an order and I expect you to follow it. However, if you do not wish to then that is your decision. But you have two options and only two options, you either follow my orders without question or you leave and never come back. That is it, nothing else.”
He opened his mouth to speak again, but nothing came out. He grabbed his coat bowed and stalked curtly out of the church.
“This meeting is over.” I said, exhausted
