Isadora’s POV It was the craziest idea to have listened to Tim and come here. I shouldn't have. I should have just acted like I didn't receive the message. But then again, I would not have known what happened to Lavina. I looked back at the church; the priest was right to have stayed inside. This street was no place for anyone who wanted to stay alive. I pulled my coat tighter around myself as I walked, trying to ignore the chill that crept through the fabric. The street was dimly lit, and shadows seemed to dance menacingly along the graffiti-covered walls. The rumors were true—this was a place where people disappeared.
