She was married for real now. Genevieve still couldn’t quite believe it. Surely the past year had been a dream and she was about to be woken by her maid. “You may now kiss the bride,” the vicar announced. Lucian gave her what she considered to be a polite kiss on the lips. Then they went to the back of the church and signed the register with the clergyman.  Now they really were husband and wife in heart and the law. They walked out of the church arm in arm. As promised there was no one waiting outside for them and Genevieve had no one to give her wedding bouquet to.
