Lucian kept a distant eye on Genevieve for the next week, waiting for any sign that something was amiss. From what he had observed all she did was go to sixth form and return home in the late afternoon. Damien hadn’t turned up anywhere so he hadn’t had to worry too much. It seemed that she had a very high chance of survival when it came to her 18th birthday. How she was going to celebrate it wasn’t a concern of his in the slightest. Whilst he was on friendly terms with her family, he wasn’t close enough to be invited to Genevieve’s birthday celebration. The day of her 18th birthday started with a very blue sky and warm weather.
