Lucian smiled at her and Grace blushed. Genevieve found that she was unable to watch. Lucian was lethal when he really was trying to be charming.
“One day, I was driving and my car had a problem. Miss Edwards' parents came along and gave me some much needed assistance. I offered to pay them later and they refused. I wanted to return their favour and they mentioned they were struggling with their daughter and her listlessness so I offered to take her in this year as an intern,” he said smoothly. “Because she’s so young I thought it would be best to put her somewhere where I can keep an eye on her.”
