Lucian took the keys out of his pocket and unlocked the front door. The house had been cleaned first by a professional cleaning company so it should be in a pristine state. He opened the door and lugged the first of the suitcases inside. The house wasn’t a modern design inside like his other house, this was styled like a Victorian townhouse which was familiar in a pleasant way. The air smelt a little of disinfectant, but he knew that wouldn’t last. Genevieve came up the steps behind him and looked around with open curiosity that was familiar to see. “It’s nice,” she pronounced the house after looking in the doorway of all of the downstairs rooms. “Let’s get the suitcases in and settle in,” Lucian said.
