Lucian was finding that he was in a state where he didn’t have a clear direction. Normally he was much more sure of himself. Moments like this were a rarity in his life. He hadn’t felt like this since Genevieve had died for the first time and that moment of doubt hadn’t lasted long. This was ongoing and after consideration for an entire hour. He  still couldn’t work out what the best approach would be. There were some potential options. He could go out into the street at night and shout Aubyn’s name.
