"Kira? Are you sure it is her?" Stefano asked. He gripped the edge of the rusted sink, his knuckles turning a ghostly white.
"The signature is a perfect match, Stefano. It is her biometric ID. It is pulsing from a handheld transmitter less than a mile from your position," Ghost replied. His voice was frantic, the sound of keys clicking rapidly in the background.
"I am going after her," Stefano said. He reached for his jacket, but a sharp, stabbing pain behind his eyes made him stumble. He caught himself against the cabin wall, his breath coming in shallow gasps.
