Chapter Twenty-One The clacking on keyboards made Lana wince as she walked into the building. She only just stopped herself from waving her hands in front of her face as though she were warding off a swarm of bees. The red ink on white sheets of paper made her eyes hurt, and she had to squint. The slicing sound of scissors snipping away at images made her hackles rise. And the pace of the people rushing about made her want to keep still. Back on the ranch, the people and even the animals had all moved slower. No one rushed. No one shouted.
