Chapter 27 – Facade

The other member of the party wanted to ask many things from Xenon. They can't just carelessly say words in front of the sisters.

Lena and Luna might be too young. They are really bad at keeping secrets but they are prodigies and climbed to the ranks of Heavenly Heroes not just because of talent but in terms of skills as well.

The boisterous draconian that had black scales which is Lena Daphnel Pon is the fourth Heavenly Hero hailing from Volcanyon, the land of draconian and dragonkin race.

She had the power to control the flames at her will and also her draconian traits make her a really agile and tough opponent in closer quarter combat.

The shy and modest sister of Lena who only becomes confident when she is beside her sister is Luna Daphnel Pon which is the fifth Heavenly Hero. She came from the Frozen Northlands, the land of barbarians.

Unlike her sister, she had the magical affinity of ice and can control its freezing magic. She makes up for her sister's weakness which is the advantage in long-range battle. No backline enemy could escape from the cold songs of death.

It is said that the mother of the sisters is barbarian while the father is draconian who fell in love with each other. It appears only Lena acquired the attributes of her father while Luna inherited her mother's race.

Together when they fight as one on the battlefield, they can rival the strength of the second and first Heavenly Hero which is none other than Morgan Francious Flugel and Galahadum.

The two Heavenly Heroes they wish to steal the shards with are in the presence of them. The sisters are too innocent to comprehend what's going to happen from now on.

“What's your name, half-elf lady?” Luna asked pulling the tip of Luciella's sleeves.

Luciella looked at Eirisse and jumped her eyes to Xenon and Laken as if non-verbally asking if she needed to tell her name. The three just nodded secretly. The only wanted man with them is Laken so it's fine for Luciella.

“I'm Luciella,” she introduced herself with a graceful smile. The sisters flocked her suddenly.

“Big sis Luciella can use healing magic? Then can you heal my back?” Lena requested.

There's a special garment for a draconian that had a split in the posterior cover of the clothes so that whenever they wanted to manifest their wings, the clothes won't be tattered.

Lena showed Luciella her back through stretching the garment's division, which revealed before them was a wound that is probably caused by a sharp object.

“I was attacked by a pirate ship when I flew in the Frozen Northlands' sea boundary. My sister is waiting for me so I obliterated their ship, but this wound is what I got,” Lena told her story.

The wound is very deep but doesn't bleed. It doesn't seem to hurt her because they didn't penetrate the scales. There's not even a shred of pain from her expression. It seems she can't reveal her wings if the wound remains untreated.

“How awful...” Luciella's already teary just seeing what have they done to Lena. She calmly placed her palms onto her back before it would physically contact to relieve her from the pain. Lena is a tough girl and could be denying the pain.

“Light Blessing...” Luciella chanted a few healing spells. Her wound disappeared and her black scales returned to normal.

“It's okay now?! Amazing! Thanks, Luciella!” Lena thanked Luciella while embracing her.

She revealed her astonishing black wings which had a really amazing appearance of white and black patterns that captivated everyone. She hid it again as it might draw unnecessary attraction.

“It's my job to heal the wounded,” Luciella said with a cheerful grin. She traced back what she said and couldn't believe how much she gained experience.

Luciella used to be weak and can only heal minor injuries. She realized that she grew stronger than what she expected to the point her confidence kept up what she must do which is to recover whoever needed healing.

“Sorry to interrupt things but, we are lucky we managed to get a ticket for the ship's departure tomorrow thanks to our merchant pass.” Xenon told to everyone.

Lena was surprised when she heard Xenon said he got a ticket, “Are you telling me there are no more tickets for tomorrow's departure metal guy?!” she exclaimed pulling Xenon's arm. The strength of her made Xenon somewhat dizzy.

“The name's Xenon and I'm a mechanoid. About your question, sadly it's the last ticket.” Xenon responded and both of the sisters sobbed.

Luna held her sister's arm, “It's my fault sister. Had not I lost, maybe we could get our tickets too...” she spoke gloomily.

“No, it's my fault because I forgot to wake up early...” Lena told with sorrow. Both of them embraced each other while weeping under the snow.

Luciella was so touched and sad she wanted to help them get a ticket too but she couldn't.

Frostwolf City is one of the famous cities of Frozen Northlands because of its tourist spots and the snow here isn't stronger than up north.

That's the reason why the ship tickets are always sold before it could even hit noon. Laken had a very reckless but a good idea to fix the mood as well as for them to take the advantage before the twin sisters realized what is happening.

Laken stepped up to take care of the situation, “Actually, what we have is a ticket for merchants, meaning no matter how many members we have they will let us in the ship.” Laken explained to them.

The sisters flocked Laken this time with a gleeful smile, “Are you sure mister? You will let us in your group?” Lena latched her arms to him. Her sister Luna also mimicked her sister with Laken's right arm.

“It's okay we don't mind, but care telling us which port are you arriving?” Laken asked.

The ship they are supposed to board tomorrow will first unload in the Herdon Port up to the eastern part of Volcanyon. Then from there, it will set again to Yerraya Port down to their target harbor which is Redshore Port up to south-east of the Millennium Shore's land city.

In which case they only needed to cross the plateau past the Redshore City in order for them to reach the Dethrim Kingdom. Laken is asking the sisters about their destination to understand what their objective is.

“We plan to visit Redshore Port and...” Lena's somewhat hesitant but she answered honestly since Laken is kind enough to help them.

“We'll be having a vacation at the Dethrim Kingdom! We are tired of Volcanyon's heat and Frozen Northlands' snow, so my sister here wanted to have a change of taste.” Lena answered and her tail's wiggling up and down.

The clanking gears could be heard and Xenon almost laughed hysterically when Eirisse glared at him with the eyes of telling him not to do such a thing.

Laken ascertained through her body language that whenever Lena's tail is wiggling left and right, she is honest and what she says comes from her heart. But whenever her tail wiggles up and down, she's dishonest or might be hiding something.

“Oh, we're also heading there! Really a kind of coincidence once in a lifetime,” Laken laughed with her happy-go-lucky facade.

“Yeah what a coincidence!” Lena responded. They both chuckled openly as it is uncomfortable for others.

“Why don't we stay at the inn for the time being?” Laken asked on everyone.

“That's a good idea, we might sightsee if we have enough time,” Lena suggests with a crooked grin.

Laken invited them to get on the carriage so they won't need to walk. The merchandise was all packaged and left in the ship as part of the merchant pass privilege. It also comes with a price but they had a discount for traders.

They also won't need to pay for their carriage. It isn't part of the bundle because it's a Magic Transporter which they explained when Laken is assisting Luna.

The party together with the sisters arrive at the inn. The party booked two rooms while the sisters reserved one for the stay.

They went to their respective room to take care of their things before doing anything. It's also the chance for Laken's party to discuss what they needed to do with Lena and Luna while they're not around.
