I woke and was so very sore. My entire body was stiff and painful. My treasure wasn’t so happy with me anymore. It expressed its pain without hesitation.
Jace and Ryder were still sound asleep, but I had just enough room to get out from between them to get to the bathroom.
A long, hot bath was necessary to ease my battered body. I started the tub and placed the stopper. The steam enveloped the room. Once the tub was full, I stopped the water and got in.
The warmth seeped into my angry muscles and calmed them. I welcomed the relaxion that overtook my body. I slid back against the tub and allowed my eyes to close.
