Chapter Fourteen Sage I hadn’t known that Brownsville had so many bars until I went searching for Callan’s truck when I didn’t find him at home. As I cruised the parking lots, I found tall red truck after tall red truck, but none of them were his. Callan’s had a small sticker with a blue wave on it on the top left-hand part of the windshield. So, at least I had something distinctive to look for. Not that it was helping me. Even though it was only a Monday night, the bars were packed. And the later it got, the more cars filled the parking lots. To make matters worse, I had to drive very slowly, looking out for the people who were walking in and out of each establishment.
