Chapter Twenty-One Callan Miss Jean, our family therapist, had set up the first meeting with me. I’d spoken to her over the phone when I did the first interview to determine whether she was going to be the right fit for us, but she hadn’t counseled much more than suggesting the best way to talk to Sage about the therapy. Feeling nervous, I tried to shake it off. The woman was there to help, not judge. I had to keep reminding myself of that, and I had done my fair share of reminding Sage of that too.
