munnin pov: He had my arm in his grip as I turned to face him from the abrupt gesture. my eyes met his, something was different about them, like a fire burning within them, urgency. was he worked up from the battle, was this too much to ask of him to soon. His demeanor was unpredictable, as I was unable to read his expression. it was straight almost too calm and his eyes bewitching me, almost like I was trapped in a trance. His brows furrowed before He turned his head from me suddenly breaking me from his stunning gaze that enthralled me so. He gently released my arm. “I'm sorry mistress, I don't know what that was" he spoke low, almost broken or surprised by his own action. My flesh vibrates where his hand held me, sending my heart to flutter softly in my chest. I watched as he exhaled sharply the broad of his shoulders visibly tense. he began walking toward the mouth of the cave, leaving me alone in the hall. I felt my face warm as a blush overtook me. What just happened? I’m so deeply confused by the interaction, but his eyes, they stayed burned in my mind, his Diamond gaze causing the butterflies to swell in my stomach. I shook my head as I break myself from these thoughts. My current mission still remained, I have to contact the crest and get these girls to safety. I rummaged around in my bag for the marble holding it in two of my fingers. I whispered a spell over it to activate it "My sisters, I call in moments dire, through the looking glass away from pyre.'' I toss the marble forward as the glittering blue opalescent ring opened slowly revealing the disturbed reflecting surface as it swirled like liquid. It fizzled revealing the inner contact hub of the Crest. Adalante stepped toward the looking glass on her end. "munnin my dear what can i do for you sister" she smiled awaiting my response. I smiled back. I havnt seen her in months. "since when did they have you on the looking glass?" "Well long story short I'm taking a break from the road they had me fill in for a week for Fayra, what is the purpose of your contact?" Adalante asked. " I found some trafficked girls and women while on the way back to the crest. I used most of my magic portaling and killing the men. I'm not able to summon this far away anyways." Adelante, nodded in understanding. "Any idea how many?" "about 12 to my knowledge, ill go collect them, also i have a wolf with me, he will be joining us." "only if he can behave, i'll let vithica know to ready the rooms. I’m sure she’s gunna love having a man here. I’ll ready the portal for transfer while you collect them should be a few minutes. I sighed thankfully. I know this was going to be a long night of storytelling. I began walking toward the room at the end of the hall where the girls gathered together. "ok ladies i have a portal that is being opened up for you all, they will explain to you all what your options are if you want to stay or need help finding your families, you will be sheltered and safe no man stays within the walls. the man you saw earlier will be the only one and he will not harm any of you that i promise. you will be cared for at the crest." the mention of those words was met with collective relief. the girls all relaxed no doubt knowing its prestigious status of being a haven for women. I waved my hand to have them fallow and there they stood in front of the mighty looking glass. the girls in awe of its magical prowess. "Wait for them to extend their hand through to show its open for you and when you're all ready please step into the glass, I'll be following after I collect my companion" the girls nodded and watch the priestesses on the other side summoning the door way together. I step away as I walk toward the cave entry, hoping sin had time to cool his head of whatever troubled him earlier. Those blue eyes flickering back into my mind. The way they held me in their beautiful agonizing gaze. I inhailed deeply speeding myself before i opened the door. Trying to shake that look from the front of my mind. I pushed the door open, surprised I did not immediately see sin from the mouth of the cave. I wandered closer to the water, looking out to the right downstream where the river opened into a pool, I noticed him in the center of the shallow pool, the water coming up to his knees, as he gazed out at the sunset. the water twinkled like stars from the sun's position. his hair bellowed in the wind tossing his small curls about, the leaves from trees falling all around as the cool night air washed over us. Narrator: sin turned towards her direction slowly in the water. Catching her scent off the wind. his mind was easy now. He was more in control of himself. his beautiful white skin and black hair a stunning silhouette but those glowing blue eyes were more luminated. above them the moon was bright and engorged its closeness only meaning one thing. the moon goddess looks upon them. she waited for something, or has witnessed him one of her lost children now back in her sight. Tonight holds a meaning for him, one that the maidens of the moon would clarify. Munnin pov: I mind linked sin "we have the portal up, let's get you some answers, i believe tonight is going to be very important to you. karma will be able to answer anything you may have." sin linked back "i feel it too... i can't explain it.. the moon..it’s calling to me." he spoke as if he were lost in a reverie. The moon is calling to him? I looked up to the moon noticing how large and pulsing it was. I read something about this kind of occurrence before but I don’t remember what it said exactly. But what I could remember, whatever was going to happen would happen at the apex of the moon, we don’t have long to get him to karmas pack on the west side of the temple. I hurried down stream sliding down the rocks to the place he stood. He watched frozen in place as I scrambled down the rock to him, wadding myself into the water. My metal boots now soaked as i made my way to pull his body from its stillness. I grabbed his hand and pulled him gently to follow me. He moved with ease, but drunkenly behind me. I kept my hand on his and kept us moving toward the cave. He was like a doll in this state. how would tonight have gone if we had made it to farrif? Im only relieved we did, at least I’ll have karma to help me with him. time is against me now, i need to get him there quickly. Once we were up on the bank I embraced him, wrapping my arms around his waist as I quickly blipped us to the looking glass. I pulled away grabbing hold of his hand again and stepping through the looking glass.
