“How long can you hold him?” I asked, my voice squeaking. “I’ve had enough of this.” Drinn said. She flipped another knife into her free hand and stalked forward. The halfling was so focused on me he didn’t react until she had her knife at his throat. She gripped his arm and shook him. “Stop it now, or I’ll end you.” The halfing made a strange grunt, and relaxed. His eyes were still on me, but he didn’t appear to be straining any longer. Otsoa released the spell, and Drinn pulled the halfling’s arms behind his back, preparing to tie him up.
