I was sitting in class trying to block out the mind link. Johnny wouldn’t stop bothering me about some crap that had happened, and I didn’t want to hear it. I never let anything distract me from focusing in class.
The next thing I saw was Johnny and Poppy peeking their heads around the corner of the classroom door, motioning for me to come out. I opened the mind link just to tell Johnny to f**k off.
“This is about Max,” he said.
That was all it took. I grabbed my things and excused myself from the room.
