Richard and Patricia were speaking to an elderly man when the whispers caught their attention and they turned to see Adrian.
Richard's mouth tightened as he saw that Adrian had defied him by wearing something else.
The black wear suited him so well, but that was beside the point.
Patricia was shocked that her foolish son dared to show his face here despite her orders.
The man with them was the only one with a pleasant expression on his face as he spoke in a gravelly tone, “Ah, there he is.”
Patricia did not hear what the man said, as she was already thinking of how to get Adrian away before he messed things up here.
“Please excuse me for a moment,” she said with a plastic smile.
In her haste, she did not wait for Richard's approval before she turned away, missing his frown.
