Chest heaving with fury and eyes still pinned on Adrian, Gavin did not dare ignore a direct order.
He lowered the g*n, and his hand shook slightly as he turned to the general with anguished eyes. “She could have lost the baby, General. We did not know. Our weeks-old baby and the bastard could have robbed us of it.”
Knowing the weight behind his words, General Charles responded in a solemn voice, “You will have your justice.”
