“What happened to you?!” Fallon was ready to do murder as she saw Seraphina approaching with a blood-spattered hem and shoes. Seraphina smiled serenely as she waved her friend’s worry off. “Relax. It's nothing,” she said. “That does not look like nothing. Did your b***h sister do that to you? Or was it the mother? Sera, you have to start fighting back against these homewreckers. Just look at you! What will they do next? Try to kill you?!” Seraphina hugged her, smiling through the sting in her eyes. Fallon had always been like this from day one. She cared for Seraphina even before knowing her surname. The only other person Seraphina could rely on, the one who would leave everything and jump to her defence if asked. Seraphina didn't like asking, though. Fallon had her own problems.
