Near the end of my research on that drone control system, I'd been in the depths of despair following the sudden deaths of my parents in that Blood Clan border conflict. Only after mating with Damon did I finally pull myself together enough to complete the project and secure the patent filing.
This fool had no idea I'd actually been planning to contribute that patent to Thornwood Enterprises.
If I'd stayed in the mating and continued working on drone-related contracts for his pack, that patent would have been their competitive advantage in Alliance military supply contracts.
But now, after everything his pack had done to me, after three years of being treated as worthless...
