Kira's POV
Callum and I disembarked from the transport at the northern territories' main port.
I'd arranged lodging at a local inn days ago. But before I could head there, Callum said, "You're serving as my bodyguard for three months now, so you should stay at my residence."
"But... I have my parents' burial ceremony tomorrow," I protested. "It might be awkward if I'm staying in your place, Alpha Green."
Callum just shrugged, his eyes holding mine. "It's fine. I already said you don't need to guard me constantly. Just when you're available. It's only three months, and you did agree, Ms. Vance."
I finally gave in, my wolf Mira accepting the logic even if I found the arrangement uncomfortable.
Well, I had indeed promised Rylan and three months would pass quickly enough.
