There were plenty of men sleeping rough, but most of them were older Spaniards, so they set off for Fuengirola. They had more luck there, where they found two women with head scarves and their two children sitting under a large tree eating fruit.
Tony stopped a hundred yards past them so as not to frighten them, and Daisy and Teresa walked back to talk to them. Tony watched them sit with the women and offer them food that they had brought with them.
