Christmas day 2021
I wake up to the shrill sound of my alarm clock. It’s so early it still feels like the middle of the night. I try to move, but strong warm arms wrap themselves around my middle.
“Don’t go.” Colton’s sleepy voice whimpers
“I have to, I need to get everything ready before we leave.” I say as I try to pry his arms from around me, failing miserably, he is far stronger than me. I huff in annoyance and he nuzzles me closer, I can feel his morning excitement nestled between my bottom cheeks.
