Chapter 3 -Big Meeting

Jasmin POV

*5am alarm goes off*

Another day more training, so happy we get get the weekend off. Usually spend my weekends with Tal and the boys but I haven’t heard from her and she hasn’t been replying to my texts, calls and she’s even put a block up on mindlink. I see her around the pack but she always manages to get away from me.

I jump in the shower and throw on one of my new gyms sets with trainers and throw my hair up in a pony. Grab my gym bag and pre work out and head out. As usual meet the boys on the ground floor to head over, they are chatty as ever.

They talking about there weekend plans, I’ll probably get dragged in to doing something stupid. I interrupt there conversation about going out to a bar, obviously jaspers idea so he can find a new girl to hang off his arm.

“Come on man, let’s go the bar tonight”

“Dude, I’ve told you I’ve got to go with my dad to another pack to go over the treaty we have with them”

This is the first I’ve heard about it, I’m assuming my dad will be going with them as alpha never goes worth his beta.

“Your so boring”

“Haha okay dude, Luca will go with you”

“Why you gotta do me like that? Leaving me with him”

“Haha you guys are when you’ve bicker”

“Hey jazzy, wanna come the bar”

“Hey Jasper, no! Definitely not if you attract girls like lexi”

Damien and Luca burst out in laughter. Jasper walks off, like he always does when he’s having a little tantrum.

We get to training, I go straight over to my dad to ask about the meeting tomorrow as I’m curious.

“Hey dad, can we talk a minute”

“Sure kiddo what’s up?”

“What’s the meeting that alpha mason and Damien are going to tomorrow? Are you going?”

“Yes I’m going, I always go”

“Oh just I was never told, can I come?”

“ I don’t see why not but I’ll have to ask Alpha mason first”

“Okay thanks”

With that I head over to the group and stretch ready for training. Today we learnt more about defence tactics as rogue attacks are well know, I’ve only seen one and it was over pretty quickly. Training went on for hours and then we had to our run of the border, after it all my stomach was growling at me.

The last couple of days my wolf has been really quiet, I assumed it was so I could focus with beta training but I don’t know. So before I headed to breakfast, I decided to let her have a run.

*in head conversation*

“Hey ebony, wanna have a run”

This got her run laps. “Yes I need to stretch my legs” so I go int the forest behind the training centre and let her out. She does the biggest stretch before bolting off, weaving in and out the trees. She really needed this. I took and back seat and gave her full control. We ran for about an hour before she lay down to rest, I took this time to ask her what’s wrong.

“Hey ebony, Howcome you’ve been so quiet the last few days”

“Just felt didn’t want to get in the way of your training and err I just feel weird around Damien”

“What you mean Damien”

“Just a weird feeling, it’s not bad but I’m unsure about it”

I didn’t want to press her more but her comment has got my brain spinning. I take back control and shift back. I head to the dining hall, hoping it’s empty so I can get some food in peace.

I was so wrong, everyone was still in the dining hall chatting away, I try to get my food without being seen.

“Jazzy, where you been”

I turn round to see Damien behind me with probably his second or third plate of food.

“Hey I decided to let ebony have a run”

“Oh cool, you joining us?”

“Yes sure”

Damien POV

I was confused why Jasmine didn’t come to breakfast with us, I seen her talking to her dad so wondered if they had a heated conversation. It was about an hour later she walked into the dining hall, I was up getting my second plate.

When she told me she had left her wolf out for a run, I was upset inside that she didn’t invite me.. I love seeing her Wolf and does my wolf Thor. He’s a large jet black alpha wolf, with piercing golden yellow eyes.

We both sat down at the table and of course Jasper was still going on about going out. I would of went with him but this alpha meeting tomorrow is a big deal and I need to be there as I take over soon. The crescent moon pack is our neighbouring back over the other side of the lake, they aren’t as big as us but they have strong warriors and are great to have on side of there is ever a war or attack.

“Dude I can’t go, how about we have a drink in the Alpha bar and go to the actually bar tomorrow night after my meeting”

“Argh okay guess that works”

Can’t help myself but watch jasmine, her eyes light up when she laughs. I don’t know why I’m feeling this way but my mum says it could be a mate thing as it’s my birthday soon and Jasmine is only 2 months after.

“Earth to Damien”

I come out my trance to Luca clapping his hands in my face.

“Sorry was lost in thought”

“Yeah we know”

Everyone starts to laugh. It’s quiet for a minute but Jasmine gets up and says she gonna head up to her floor. I jumped at the chance to be alone with her so I said I would go with her as I needed to go see my dad, I didn’t.

Jasmin POV

Damien was staring at me for what felt like ages, before I knew it Luca was clapping in his face to snap him out of it. I don’t know what’s going on with him but I’m gonna head up to my floor before it gets any weirder. As I get up Damien offers to walk up with him as he needs to see his dad. The whole time it was completely silent, I had to break the ice.

“So I’ve asked my dad if I could with youse tomorrow as beta training”

“Oh really, would be less nerve racking if you was there”

“Don’t lie, you never get nervous” I playfully shove him knocking him into the lift wall. It was bad idea cause he gave a cheeky look before he started play fighting and tickling me. I was so happy when the lift dinged on my floor, had to get out quickly otherwise he would of had been on the floor tickling me.

“Bye loser”

“See ya jazzy”

I walked through the door to my mum in the kitchen baking, she makes the best the desserts. She’s distracted so she doesn’t really notice me, I go over to the kitchen to see her.

“Hey mum”

“Hello lovely, how was training”

“Good, I let ebony out for run afterwards and she’s been quiet the last couple of days”

“Has she told you why”

“Yes,kind of”

I told my everything ebony told me and my mums face lit up like a Christmas tree. She went on to tell me it could be the mate pull starting to appear. I shut that down quickly, me and Damien can’t be mates. He’s my best friend.

If my head wasn’t spinning before it definitely is spinning now. I tell my mum I’m going to shower and have a nap, it’s the only thing I could think of that will stop my head. Ebony started to pace, “he could be our mate”

“No Ebony he can’t be, that’s just weird”

“Is it..we have known all our life and he treats us amazing”

“No he can’t be” I couldn’t talk about it anymore so after my shower I get in bed and try to sleep.

*mindlink*

“Hey kiddo, alpha mason has said you can come tomorrow”

“Okay dad, thanks. I’m not feeling well so I’m gonna take a nap”

Before my dad could reply I shut off my mindlink and try to sleep.

I wake up 2 hours later, to knocking on my door. Tal walks in. I’m so happy to see her, you could tell she was nervous. She sat on the edge of the bed and started to explain why she’s been so distant. She didn’t have to as I knew why but she kept apologising. We decided we would have a girls night as the boys were going up to the alpha bar. We got take out from the dining hall, snacks from the pantry and headed up to the cinema room, we needed this.

After watching 2 films we decided we would go up to my room to do skin care and our nails. I wanted to look good for tomorrow, make a good impression.

Got to around 8pm, we had done our nails I went for a nude colour and Tal went for a bright red it really suits her. I walked Tal down to the ground floor then she walked home. When I got back up to my room I decided I would have an early night with the meeting tomorrow.

*Next morning*

My alarm went off at 7am it was nice to have a small lie in. I took a long shower and the hot water felt amazing. I didn’t realise I was in a dream when I jumped from a knock on my door.

“One second” I jump out the shower and throw on my robe. I open my door to damien stood there, he was just staring at me.

“What’s up”

It took him a minute to reply “I was sent up to say we are leaving in an hour”

“Okay anything else”

“Oh yeah your robes open” I couldn’t believe it I didn’t close my robe properly. Damien has just seen my n***d body! I know we are n***d when we shift but I always would got behind a tree so no one could see. I slam the door shut and I could hear him snicker a little. I’m so embarrassed. I try to shut it out while getting ready but I kept getting flashbacks. I decided I would wear black skinny jeans with a blouse and my chunky boots, I blow dried my hair and did some simple make up. I have 15 minutes to get down stairs so I grab a bag to put all my stuff and head out. When I got there, all three of them was waiting for me at the door.

“Hey kiddo, do you wanna drive?”

“Hey yeah I don’t mind”

I’m happy I got to drive it gives me the chance to learn the routine for the future and I love driving my car.

Damien jumps in the front passenger seat, alpha mason and my dad jump in the back. They get straight into deep conversation about to day, Damien is quiet next to me and I couldn’t look at him after what he has seen of me.

*30 minutes later*

We start approaching the border of the crescent moon park, there was about 6 men patrolling the main border. I rolled down my window and before I could say anything the the man spoke over me “meaning of visit”

I decided to let it slide and stay calm “Hi my name is Jasmin future beta of sapphire pack, we are here for a meeting with Alpha Jackson”

He eyes glazed over, he was mind linking someone. Then all of a sudden he shouts to the other men to let us in. It wasn’t long before we was outside the large building that I assume is there pack house. We get out the car and head up the steps. As we reach the top the alpha and his beta are standing at the door. I didn’t notice at first but there was a woman standing behind them I guess she’s the Luna maybe..

“Welcome to crescent moon pack, we are so happy we could meet today and welcome alpha Damien, beta Jasmin it’s so nice to meet youse. They turn round and we follow them into a meeting room, we seat on opposite sides. The woman that I seen at the door had gone, I wonder where she has gone.

The meeting went on for hours, I just sat there and absorbed all the information as I would need to remember it all. It got to around 12pm and I was hungry. Thankfully Alpha Jackson invited us down to there dining hall for lunch, my stomach was happy. As we are walking down the hall way Ebony is alert, she’s never been to another pack so she’s on edge.

“Ebony calm down, we are okay”

“I don’t know how I feel them”

“Who?”

“Alpha Jackson and his beta, they never introduced us to the Luna. They should of”

“Maybe she is shy”

“No Luna is shy, we aren’t shy”

“We aren’t a Luna”

Ebony went quiet but was still alert. We sat down for lunch and they had some omega wolves bring them over, they looked a little scared. But I didn’t say anything, not yet anyway. I wanted to get see more.

After lunch we was given a tour of their pack, it was smaller than ours but it had its own training centre, school and a few shops run by pack members. I kept noticing she wolves putting there heads down when the alpha walked past them or changing direction. I am going to my dad when we get home.

After our tour we said our goodbyes, when we got in the car everyone was quiet until we had left and passed there borders.

“I think that went well”

“Me too” Damien agreed with them. I kept quiet, which didn’t get unnoticed.

“Hey kiddo, why so quiet”

“It’s probably nothing but ebony was on full alert the whole time, she mentioned she didn’t like that alpha Jackson didn’t introduce us to his Luna and that she wasn’t present”

My dad was quickly to reply “she might of been shy”

“See I thought that too but when we was eating lunch and on our tour, all the females we passed either instantly put there heads down or changed the direction they went”

Alpha Mason has a stern look on his face “I’ve never noticed that before, I think we should look into this more. Thank you for sharing Jasmine, this is definitely nothing”

“Fresh pair of eyes can uncover something that’s been hidden for years” my dad patted me on the shoulder.

Damien was quiet, he was the whole drive home and when we parked up he got out and walked off. I don’t know what’s going but I don’t think seeing my n***d body would have this affect on him.

Damien POV

After a long day at the other pack I just wanted a drink not because of the meeting but after seeing Jasmines n***d body, my wolf Thor was whining and I was getting constant flashbacks of her body. It was driving me crazy, I’ve never seen her in that way.

I mindlink Jasper and Luca to meet me in the alpha bar for a drink.

“Hey dude, how was it”

“Good, a lot to take in but hopefully the treaty will continue”

Jasper was eager to go the bar, I ran to my room to change as I didn’t wanna go in my smart clothes. I grabbed a pair of jeans and a black T-shirt, sprayed some of my favourite aftershave. When I got back to the bar, Jasmine was there with Tal, I didn’t know how to greet tal so I decided to not say anything.

“Hey Damien, you look good”

“Thanks tal, nice to see you”

It was so awkward, if it wasn’t for jasper we would of just sat in silence.

“Right let’s have another drink and a shot, then head to the bar”

Luca was behind the bar making us our drinks, I usually have whiskey on the rocks as it takes a lot of alcohol to get us wolves drunk. He lined up 5 shots, i was happy to see Jasmine and tal take one. After a few minutes everyone was chatting and laughing like old times. I decided to be nice and invite the girls out with us. They both said yes after some begging from Luca, Jasper on the other hand didn’t want to be c**k blocked.

I mindlinked one of the border patrols to drive us to the bar and stay close by the bar. Once we got the bar, we was instantly let in and given a booth which I was happy about as I didn’t have to mingle with anyone. We had a bottle girl take our drink orders, she kept trying to flirt with me but she was human and definitely not my type.

Wasn’t long til Jasper had brought a girl into the booth, she was all over him. It was disturbing. Jasmine and Talulah were chatting away so I decided to talk to Luca about today. He was concerned about what Jasmine had said to my dad. We didn’t stay on topic much longer as the bottle girl brought over our drinks. The night went on for hours, we had to tell Jasper he couldn’t bring the girl back the pack house cause she was also human, that didn’t stop him taking her to the bathroom though. We was about to head out, when we got outside our car was ready for us. The girls were tipsy and constantly laughing, Luca was in the front chatting the drivers head off and Jasper was moaning about leaving the girl behind. Jasmine had enough..

“God Jasper, get over it. You’ll find another female to f*ck by tomorrow”

“Probably but still not fair”

“Boohoo get over it”

That made tal burst out laughing and Jasper even moodier.

I was happy when we got back the pack house, everyone said there goodbyes and went there separate ways. Myself and Jasmine got in the lift, she was a little tipsy I didn’t realise she had drank so much. I made sure to walk her back to her room and try not wake her parents up.

“Hey you better not be trying to see me n***d again” I couldn’t help but laugh..

“Haha no jazzy, just helping you to your room”

She fell on to her bed and was out like a light.

I took her shoes off and left her to sleep. Heading up to my room I strip down to my boxer shorts and jump into bed. My mind was flashing back to jasmines n***d body, I felt myself getting aroused. I tried to push it out my head, eventually I had to give in and sort myself out.

I can’t believe I’ve just did that thinking of Jasmine, what’s going on? Before my thoughts drove me mad, sleep took over.
