Omega's vindication

Chapter 1

It's the last week of senior year .

I was so happy, I was finally done with high school and I would be turning 18 by the end of the week .

I wouldn't miss high school for a sec, I said, talking to myself as I walked down the hallway . I looked out the window and saw my friend Davina and Lana. I said to myself I would be missing Lana , she would be traveling to South America to be with her aunt. Davina is a gamma wolf. She was bitten by a rogue alpha before he was killed .

I washed as Davina left Lana and walked up to Damian , they were both having a conversation before Damian slipped his hand under her skirt . Davina was my friend all right. We have been friends since sophomore year. One thing I dislike about her was that she was becoming a w***e, she had literally slept with all the cute guys in class .

I took my eyes off their direction.I couldn't help but notice Smith. He is the cute son of Alpha Thomas, the leader of our pack. He is so cute ,I can't help it. I had a crush on him some years back. Any time I see him, I get uncomfortable down there. He is a playboy and has a reputation of sleeping around .He loves having fun and enjoys his life .I wouldn't blame him , he is the son of the wealthy billionaire alpha, Thomas o'Connor.

He was walking towards my direction, despite having a crush on him. I had never gotten the opportunity to be with him. He has been my only crush for as long as I can remember. I can remember the first day I set my eyes on him . It was after the death of my parents. My parents were betas assigned to protect the alpha. They gave their lives to protect the alpha and the pack. After their death, alpha Thomas o'Connor took me into the pack and made me an omega. I was well taken care of , My duty was to cook and clean the packed house .

I had a crush on him since the day I moved into the pack house. I was standing at my locker when he walked through the door and towards my direction.I froze along with every other female who saw him .

He was so cute ,he was not too tall say medium height and has a muscular physique,looking like a spartan warrior, he has a captivating smile ,an hazel eyes and jet black hair to compliment his looks

I was lost looking at him ,he was the cutest guy I had laid my eyes on ,I have had some other guys crush on me here and there but , through it all I had always lust after Smith.

He was so popular in school with both the guys and girls because of his good looks and being the son of our powerful and wealthy alpha,he was also known for throwing the most epic party . Well that was what I heard since I have never been to one . I was not that popular in school ,apart from not being among the popular crowd , I found comfort in the most quiet and serene place . I enjoyed and preferred reading my books than attending parties .

Since I was little I had dreams of becoming a financialist and in order to achieve that dream I had to study harder . I spent most of my lunch time studying at the library, I wasn't into fashion,makeup or hairstyles.

I don't attend parties or have a boyfriend, I was still a virgin and I had never been kissed by a boy . Well if you could count a peck as one then yes, I was once pecked on the lip by a crush but that was years back , at the end of the day I am just simply me , the nerdy omega

My dark chocolate hair is long and falls down to my back. I am not that tall ,I am 5'4, I have a Brown hazel eyes which sometimes look chocolate,but I doubt if people would notice it since I wear glasses most of the time . I have a beautiful shape ,I am shaped like an hourglass, a shape which I got from my mother .

Tomorrow will be the last day of school,and I was so excited . Smith was having a graduation party at the pack house . Since it was the first time he was to host a party at home I would definitely be there .

"Good afternoon class" teacher Samson said , as everyone took their seats ,all of you know tomorrow is the last day before graduation so therefore the principal wants me to use this opportunity to brief everyone about graduating and answer all the necessary questions.

Half the class rowed, some were throwing papers around while some screamed at the top of their voices. We had rehearsal a day before graduation and today here we are again about to engage in the same rehearsal again today .

"Calm down class! " teacher Samson says as everyone becomes calm again. I was lost in thoughts about my birthday coming up tomorrow and the best part of it was I get to shift from my human form and transform to my wolf for the first time ,I know it sounds great and all but I have heard rumors that it's a painful experience. Well, I couldn't wait for tomorrow I was super excited.

I was brought back to life by the sound of the bell. It was closing time and we all stood up and walked out of the class . I noticed Davina was absent in class like Damian. I guess they both took the rest of the day off to catch up with their affairs of the heart .

I stood up and walked straight to my locker to clean out all my remaining things ,and rushed back to the packing house before anyone be back to ask for lunch. Once I was done cleaning my locker, I walked into the parking lot, I saw Smith ,he was leaning up against his black-colored mustang, with half the girls in class surrounding him as always.

I wasn't jealous,I simply figured he was way out of my league and I simply wasn't his type .

I guess you might be thinking I have a low self-esteem problem and some confidence issues. Well, not at all I was simply honest and comfortable with myself. I have come to accept the fact that some things just don't happen. I actually believe I am irresistibly beautiful,but I don't dwell on beauty or facial charms because they fade and so does the eyesight.

I love myself and I am super comfortable with how I am , I really don't dress to attract or to become the center of attraction. I don't believe I want people to like me because of my physical appearance but for what I am and mean to them .

I quietly walked past him and the flock of girls gathered round him ,but I noticed some of the girls were looking at me.I could hear one of the girls calling me an "ugly duck. I wonder why she walks like that, '' says one of the girls . I didn't bother to stop ,I simply kept on walking . I couldn't help but ask myself why the girls at school hated me so much. I only had Davina and Lana as friends. The rest were Scarrow's looking for an opportunity to attack and insult me . "She smells like a duck" says another girl. They all laughed at the comment until I heard Smith cut in and they all turned their attention back at him .

I stopped for a second and took a good look at Smith. In the process, I tripped and fell, all my stuff I was carrying spilled over the floor . I was embarrassed.I could hear the girls laughing at me again . I picked myself up from the ground.

"Are you alright Rain" I heard a voice speak to me ,it was familiar, it belonged to my crush, Smith. I was speechless and the best I could do was to nod my head in response to the question he asked . I could feel my inner wolf screaming as loud as she could "Mate", I never thought he would notice me loudly.. Come to my rescue . I was a simple omega In the pack , a servant girl whose duty was to clean and cook . I always wanted to have a conversation with him, but not like this ,I wanted it to be special. I nodded and he left me back to his group of girls .

Quickly, I gathered my remaining stuff off the ground. I could hear all of them laughing and noticed the girls were glaring at me . Lana reached out to me and helped me pick my stuff off the ground ."Did you notice he rushed off to help you "she says with a smile on her face .you should talk to him ,tell him how you truly feel about him and make it clear to him that he is your mate .

Yeah I would talk to him.Lana says " this could have been your chance " with a big smile on her face , I know but I lost it when he touched me ,it felt like someone lit a fire inside of me and I was about to erupt. I was so ashamed of myself, I was scared he was going to reject me or better still avoid me , we got up and walked towards where Lana's car was parked and she dropped me off at the pack house

I rushed down to my room and changed up my clothes, I went down to the kitchen and started preparing dinner , soon walked in Taylor ford and Ashley Moore. They were both betas of the pack and they were taken with the responsibility of protecting Smith and other pack members.

Taylor walked towards my direction and grabbed a cup from the cupboard. Walking towards the refrigerator, he opened it and grabbed a pack of orange juice. He drank a full cup and said "Rain, what are your plans for your birthday coming up tomorrow?" , I was shocked that he remembered my birthday. I had no plans of celebrating my birthday. It was an important day to me but I had no money or a large number of friends willing to come celebrate with me . I only had Davina and Lana who were my only friends. I replied "I was going to celebrate it at home here with Smith , since he was hosting a graduation party right here at the pack house ". Also tomorrow was an important day for me ,I was going to shift for the first time and get to see how beautiful my wolf is and also pray to meet my "Mate". Taylor smiled at me and reassured me everything would be alright and if I needed anything I should not hesitate to talk to him .
