I’m excited that Chey’s experienced one of the first signs of an emergence, but at the same time, I feel like I’m a step closer to losing her. I know that she isn’t mine; if she were, I would have felt it already, but I’d be lying if I said that I was ready to see her in the arms of someone less deserving.
As her friend, I would never sabotage her future with her mate, but if I feel like the man doesn’t deserve her, I’m not above physical violence, the same way she was willing to kill Morgan for Hector.
