Although it was a brutal way of making a point, it was enough to convince the remaining Kindred to lay down their guns and surrender. With the loss of both Brother Reuben and Sister Magda, the Kindred ranks were in disarray and the ambush had given Haven a clear advantage if they chose to continue fighting.
The Council offered the Kindred safe passage back to their territory, minus their guns of course. There was no certainty in Hunter's mind that their threat was ended.
