  As soon as Sarah and Benicio walked into her office, a silence settled over it like a lull after a storm. She walked over to the large windows hoping to get some warmth from the sun. She was no way closer to relief and clarity than she was before she went to James's office. Her heart was thudding violently against her ribs, and her fingers were still cold, particularly the tips of her fingers. Edward could have overhead them back there.
