Seokjin took in a deep breathe as he finished looking at some lifestyle magazine that is placed on top of the marble table in the middle of the living room.
He stood up when he finally saw his mother-in-law walking towards him, he crouched down a little kissing her cheeks. She nods her head at Seokjin before making her way inside the dining table.
"I got the bag, Jin," The lady shrugged her shoulders, "Im impressed. You really have a good taste." She said.
Seokjin smiled a little nodding his head at the help who suddenly came in putting a piece of chocolate moist cake for the both of them along with a coffee just the way Seokjin likes it.
His mother-in-law can be a little bit of manipulative because she thinks that she's only doing what's the best for all of them. Though, despite of her being a little bit of snob when it comes to other people- when it comes to the family, she's always warm and considerate and she always makes sure that none of her family members will be aggravated or she will raise hell.
"Jea always calls me and your Dad at nigh?" Taeyeon raised her brows as she glanced at Seokjin, "Why is that? Does she have any problems?" She asked.
Seokjin chuckled shaking his head and the lady just take that as an answer completely believing it.
She likes Seokjin to say the least, he's more than just a son-in-law in the family- he's a part of it with or without Jungkook.
She's pleased to have someone as successful as Seokjin to be his son-in-law. She keeps on telling her son how he's very lucky to hit the jackpot by marring someone who's not only beautiful but also got the brain and influence, no one can ever beat Jeon Jungkook- when it comes to who got the better partner.
"Jea is showing interest in studying abroad, Mom." He said.
The lady dropped her fork with her eyes widened in surprised before cracking a smile in delight.
Oh! Of course, she wants nothing but the best for her granddaughter. They have a lot of money so why not use it to the fullest? She wants Jea to study abroad- with the beauty, skills and brain like that, she'll become very successful with a proper educational background.
It's just that the girl is still very little and she's aware of the pressure she's putting at the poor little girl so she remained quiet about the idea. Now, she just cant help but to feel proud at his granddaughter.
"That's great, Jin. We can send her to a country based on what she wants to be in the future."
"Yes, Mom. Im also thinking about going with her when it's the time."
The lady raised his brows at Seokjin tilting her head to the right before getting the napkin to wipe the side of her lips, composed and still with elegance.
"Why? You have a husband here, Seokjin. You cant leave him alone. You know that's not proper." She calmly said.
Seokjin let out a tight-lipped smile feeling his chest tightened remembering the infidelity of the man that he once loved so much. No, a past tense is not even applicable- he still loves the man with all of him.
"Jea is still very little, Mom. We still have to wait for a lot of years." He said trying to avoid the topic.
The man hissed as he felt his phone continuously vibrating in his pocket. He's just avoiding it not wanting to look rude but it must be important.
"Mom, someone's calling me. Can I please excuse myself for awhile?" He politely asked.
"Go ahead..."
Seokjin bowed at his mother-in-law before hurriedly wallking towards the living room raising his brows when he saw that it was only Jimin. What could it be?
He dialled the number of his friend and the younger immediately answered it.
"Seokjin! What the hell?"
He raised his brows, confused as to why his younger friend sounds enraged.
"What? Im in Mom's house. Hurry up!"
Seokjin could hear his friend's rigid breathing so he rolled his eyes just waiting for Jimin to finally speak up.
"Why did I f*****g see Jungkook entering a hotel with another f*****g man, Jin? I almost pulled the man's hair if it werent for Namjoon." Jimin said, his voice rising.
Seokjin gulped down feeling the continuous stabbed on his chest coming back. Just like that, the tears starts to fall down on his eyes.
He's not just in pain. He's also deeply embarassed having his friend see his husband with another man.
"Jimin, calm down," he smiled, "That's his secretary and they're meeting a client there. I know it." He said.
He bit his lower lips as he wiped the tears away from his eyes. He took in a deep breathe before looking around just to make sure that no one is there.
"Oh! Really?" Jimin asked, "Gosh! I am literally steps away from pulling his hair. That would he so embrassing if I actually did it." He whined.
Seokjin laughed a little. That would be too much but he's happy that Jimin is willing to go to that extent just for him.
"I have to go, Chim. Love you."
"Of course! I f*****g love you too. Bye."
He put his phone back in his pocket fixing his hair and wiping his tears away making sure that he looks very much presentable before going back to where his mother-in-law is.
He took in a deep breathe and as if on cue- flashed a very bright smile towards the lady who's just waiting for him.
They started to eat the sweets infront of them without even saying anything but Seokjin keeps on glancing at the lady before looking up with determination in his eyes.
"Mom?"
The lady looked at Seokjin just waiting for him to speak up.
No one can handle the Jeon's aside from Seokjin especially Taeyeon, the mother of this family- the one that controls everything.
No one can keep up with the elegance, glamor and the influence that they all have aside from Seokjin who also have all of that.
"Dont you think Jungkook needs a new secretary?" He casually asked.
Taeyeon's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He never liked the young secretary of Jungkook, she always said that he's not for the kind of job he's applying. It's just that Seokjin convinced her that's why she agreed and it's just so strange that now Seokjin is the one suggesting for a new one.
"Why? You're so fond of that boy," Taeyeon said, "What should we do after firing him? Should I recommend him to another department, Jin-ah?" The mother asked.
Seokjin let out the sweetest smile.
"No. Let's not give him his last salary and never recommend him to any company."
