IT IS THE DAY OF THE archery contest, a large crowd has gathered to watch the finest archers in all of England compete. There is a rumor that Robin Hood is somewhere among them. There is a series of targets on a range. King John, Maid Marian, Sir Guy, and the Sheriff sit on a Dais looking upon the tournament.
“The winner of this contest will be King of the May Games, receive the Golden Arrow with a kiss from the lady Marian,” Proclaims the announcer.
The archery contest begins. The archers let their arrows fly. Only four hit the bullseye.
“Mulch the miller’s son, Robin Hood, the man who looks like Robin Hood wearing a cheap moustache, and the Silent Archer may continue...The rest are disqualified.”
