Victoria. I glared at myself in the mirror, unable to believe my eyes. Who was this woman staring back at me? The sleek leather, the provocative straps, the ridiculous bunny ears—it was all so bold, so unlike me. And yet, I couldn't look away. I felt powerful, dangerous even. Is this really me? I had to take a photo, if only to convince myself. Just as I snapped the picture, my phone buzzed. Christian’s name lit up the screen, and my heart immediately fluttered. "I'll have someone come pick up your things from your place. Let me know anything else you would need and what time you wish to move in. I'll be travelling to Medellín." I read the message twice, my lips curving into a smirk. He always sounded so composed, so in control. But I knew better. There was tension beneath those words.
