Victoria. "Come in! I'm going to be so late; Mom will skin me alive," I called out as I rushed to my room. No time for makeup—oversleeping had sealed my fate. I quickly tied my hair into a low ponytail. I’d considered curtain bangs with loose waves, but the fear of damaging my hair kept me cautious. Sliding into the dress, I grabbed my purse and applied a quick swipe of lip gloss. As I glanced in the mirror, I was relieved. Not bad for someone who’d overslept.
