I returned to my office to continue with work. Alessandro came in to inform me of my dad's call.
" What does he want?" I asked him
" It's probably about what you did earlier to Alexia's father. He replied as he left
I made my way to my father's office
" What do you want now? " I asked although I had an idea now thanks to Alessandro
" Why did you hit Alexia's father?"
" It's none of your business." I replied
" You just lied to her. You are like you, you are getting married to her not because you love her but because I told you I need an heir." He said with a smirk
" At least I won't mistreat her" I replied
" Get out of my office" he replied coldly
I smirked in return.
" Camila is coming back today" he said
" What is she doing back here?"
He didn't give a reply so I left .
Alexia
I woke up to the early morning sun. I remembered the events of yesterday and sighed. I'm officially getting married to a mafia lord now. How did my life change for the worse? I had my bath and checked the walk-in closet. Valentino said his men would get clothes for me but I didn't see any. I took his white sweatpants and a black hoodie.
I walked down the hall and knew I was lost. I saw a door so I opened it.
I was met with about twenty shirtless men with tattoo filled bodies training.
It was a charming site to behold.
" What the f**k are you doing here?" One of the men asked
" Ummm sorry I lost my way. Where's Valentino please?" I asked nicely
" I'm here" I heard a voice say from the far end of the room.
I saw a very appealing shirtless body. His curly hair was sticking to his face because of sweat and his olive body was shining . His abs were to kill for.
I heard someone cough and I looked above to see Valentino smiling at me.
'' like what you see?" He asked
I quickly turned around to hide my blush.
" Put on some shirts, will you? Ummm I don't have any clothes yet and I need to use the bathroom." I hurriedly said and let in a haste.
I got in the hallway and heard a girly scream. I walked to the direction of the voice and I saw a girl with long curly brown hair. She was wearing a short pink skirt and a white tank top with pink boots. She looks like a teenager.
" Hey who are you" she screamed as she saw me
" As funny as it sounds, I'm Alexia, the fiancee of Valentino. You?"
" Valentino is getting married and he didn't tell me? She screamed
" I'm Camilla by the way. Where is that boy? She asked
" I the training room " I replied
She immediately rushed to the room like she knew everywhere in the house. I was beginning to wonder if she was his girlfriend.
" Valentino Lorenzo " she screamed
" Bloody hell" Valentino replied
" You are getting married and didn't bother to tell me? She screamed again
" Camilla, calm down." One of the men said
" Don't tell me to calm down Alessandro. You knew you didn't tell me too" she said a bit offended
" What's going on ? " I was lost at the event occurring.
" This is my younger sister Camilla. He said pointing to her. Camilla, this is my fiancee Alexia." He pointed to me.
" Nice to meet you. I thought I was going to die with all these men around." I said
" It's nice to have a female in this house. " she replied with a bright smile
" Camilla show Alexia around the house." Valentino said
Camilla dragged my hands and led me outside.
" We are going to be best friends, " she said with a small laugh.
Thirty minutes later she was done showing me around.
" Where's your room? She asked
" I'm staying with Valatino. He said we should get to know each other before our wedding." I replied
" How did you know him? " she asked
I told her the story of my life from my mother's death till the present day .
She gave me an apologetic smile and she told me about herself and how her mother ran away when she and Valentino were little.
We hugged and talked about many other things.
I left her room while it was getting dark.
I went back to the library, my favourite place in the whole mansion. I love reading books because it makes me forget about my current situation.
I looked at the shelves and scanned the books. I went to the fantasy section and started reading.
I read for about two hours before I decided to call it a night.
I walked past the hallway when I saw a young attractive man walk in.
" Hello , who are you? " I asked with curiosity. He wore a black leather jacket, a white Polo and a black ripped jeans. He really looked the mafia type.
" I'm Marco. And who would be beautiful?"
" I'm Alexia." I replied back
" A beautiful name for a beautiful girl" he replied with a charming smile
" Thank you" I replied blushing a little
" Do you know where Valentino is " he asked
I directed him on the way to Valentino's office.
I walked to my room and had my bath. I wore Valentino's white collared shirt. It was very long and it covered my bottom.
I waited for Valentino but decided to go into his office not minding if he was meeting with someone.
I took the book I was reading earlier. "I'll return it after seeing Valentino" I said to myself
Not bothering to knock, I saw Valatino pinned to the wall with a knife on his throat. The man from earlier held the knife.
I didn't know what to do so I used the book I held to hit him on his head.
He turned around and smiled.
He pushed the knife deeper on his neck and I managed to hit him on his back before he pushed me away.
" Don't forget the promise I made to you" he said to Valentino while smiling at me.
He jumped out through the window and ran away.
I turned to help Valentino.
" What promise is he talking about?" I asked.
