CHAPTER 2

( The bouquet was starting and I was the one serving so I needed to get set )

( The bouquet finally started and I started going round to serve drinks, some other maids joined in so it was easier. While going round, I came across the one person I hated the most, Sophia).

( After Sophia saw me, she smiled wickedly and evily at me and then she walked to my direction)

( She walked up to me and pretended to take a drink then poured the glass of champagne on me)

Sophia: Oops! My mistake, can I take another one

Nora: (while smiling)Sure! Why not

( Sophia picked another one and this time she poured it over my head and to my entire body)

( Sophia smiled with satisfaction. Everyone was just staring at us even Lucas but he didn't even move from where he was. I got so pissed that I took one glass and poured it all over her stupid expensive dress then I picked another one and poured it over her head the same way she did to me. This time Lucas moved from where he was and rushed to Sophia's side then he looked at me with cold eyes and gave me a slap that sent me sitting on the ground in tears then Aaron came to my side)

Lucas: How dare you harass my guest

Aaron: Lucas you saw everything, you know that Sophia is at fault, yet you still take her side

Sophia: But it was a mistake

Aaron: What kind of stupid mistake is that

( Aaron looked at Sophia coldly)

Nora: Aaron don't worry, I'm fine, I'll just go to my room and clean up

Aaron: Alright I'll come with you to help you

Nora: Alright

(Lucas led Sophia to the guest bathroom to help her clean up while Aaron helped me to my room)

*** Inside Nora's room***

Nora: Aaron, I'm sorry to ask, but could you get something for me to eat from the kitchen.

Aaron: You've not eaten since morning

Nora: No, I couldn't find time

Aaron: alright, I'll get you something to eat right away

(Aaron got up from my bed and exited the room, while I went to the bathroom to shower, it took me five minutes to shower and change. When I came out of the bathroom, I saw Aaron sitting on my bed on his phone with the food on my side table.

Nora: you were fast,When did you come in

(Aaron looked at me with sadness and anger in his eyes but he smiled to cover it up)

Aaron: Not too long ago

Nora: Okay

Aaron: Alright time to eat, I don't want you falling ill

(Nora nodded)

( I took the food that was in the side table and sat on the bed. I started eating a d I noticed Aaron's continuous gaze on me)

(He was looking at me and smiling)

Nora: What?,why are you staring at me like that

Aaron: Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are

Nora: Don't tell me you have a little crush on me

( Nora said jokingly)

Aaron: Hey,no, Don't get the wrong idea

( When Aaron said that I started laughing non-stop. Then I asked him)

Nora: How's the bouquet going?

Aaron: They are about rounding up any minute from now

Nora: So that means you will be going soon

Aaron: Not really,I was planning to stay for at least a week

Nora: That's good,so,you have never really talked about your love life, don't you have any girl

Aaron: There's this girl I really liked since we were kids and I still like her now but she is in Canada right now with her dad

Nora: And is she anyone I know

Aaron: No,not at all

Nora: Can I meet her one day

Aaron: You will eventually meet her with or without me

Nora: What does that even mean

Aaron: Eat up before your food gets cold, I'll go check up on how the bouquet's going

Nora: okay,be quick

(Aaron gets up and exited Nora's room while she kept eating)

************** Aaron's POV**************

(I got up from Nora's bed and exited her room and then headed downstairs. The bouquet has already ended and almost everyone had gone,it was only some guest and Sophia who looked like she was talking to Lucas that were left)

( I walked towards them and noticed that Lucas was drinking,he hardly drinks)

Aaron: What's going on

Sophia: I just saw him here drinking

Aaron: Lucas,what's wrong

Lucas: I just wanted to drink today, is there any problem with that

(Lucas spoke coldly and I know that Sophia got terrified,I was already used to Lucas being cold but today felt different,he was angry, cold and at the same time calm)

Aaron: soohia,please could you excuse us for a moment

Sophia: O-okay

(Sophia left me and Lucas and we started talking)

Aaron: Lucas, what's bothering you

Lucas: Nothing's bothering me,like I said before I just felt like drinking today

Aaron: You and I knows that's a lie,you only drink when something is bothering you and I know something is bothering you

Lucas: I just feel stressed out, that's all

Aaron: Just tell me the truth and I promise not to make fun of you only if it's not stupid though

Lucas: Fine, I just felt angry the way Sophia treated Nora

Aaron: So this is all because of Sophia. Sophia was the one who started everything, Nora even fought back for herself

Lucas: She would have just tolerated, why fight back

Aaron: So now you are taking the side of an outsider over your wife

Lucas: That outsider is my secretary

Aaron: And Nora is your wife,why are you treating her like this

Lucas: And here we go again about Nora, what's your problem with Nora

Aaron: Lucas can't you see you are loosing a beautiful soul slowly and I assure you when she leaves you will regret it, don't say I didn't warn you. I'll leave you to think but for now I'm going back upstairs.

(I left Lucas there and went upstairs back to Nora's room. I entered the room and saw her looking at her phone)

Aaron: What are you looking at

Nora: Just scrolling through social media

Aaron:oh!seems like you are done eating, I'll take the plates to the kitchen.

Nora: Let's talk a little before you take the plates to the kitchen

Aaron: Okay.

(Nora and Aaron talked about certain things and when it started getting late Aaron left with the plates in his hands)
