CHAPTER 4

********** THE NEXT MORNING*********

(Nora woke up to the sound of a groan. when she was up she saw Lucas struggling to sit up on the bed. she was about to get up to help him when she felt a sharp pain in between her legs. she limped to his side and helped him up)

(as I lifted Lucas up I could feel his body was already heating up. After assuring that he was steady I limped to his bathroom and took a bowl then filled it with cold water and then took one of his hand towels and then back to his room then i sat down on one of the chair that was beside the bed)

(I put the hand towel into the bowl of cold water and then placed it on his forehead. After I finish doing that,I went back to bathroom and returned the bowl and Hand towel back and stood by his side)

Nora: sir! what will you like to eat this morning before taking your medicine

Lucas: Get me anything to eat

Nora: okay

Lucas: why is there blood on my bed

Nora: I don't know,sir,I will clean it up when you get out of bed

(Lucas voice was weak when he spoke. I left his room, on my way to the kitchen I heard a familiar voice that I always loved, it was Lucas grandmother.

She was sitting in the living room chatting with Aaron, seeming happy, I went behind her chair and hugged her then kissed her cheeks)

Nora: grandma, your welcome and good morning

grandma: how are you,my baby?

Nora:been doing good

grandma: where Is that good for nothing grandson of mine

Nora: he's having high fever so he's upstairs

grandma: don't tell me, he took alcohol yesterday

Nora:yes, I came to get breakfast for him

grandma: you are a good wife and the best grand daughter in-law I could ever ask for, but I don't know what you actually see in that fool

Nora:(laughing)Grandma, you know he's my husband and your grandson, how can you say something like that

grandma:forget about it, so when are you two going to give me a great grand child, huh?

(The smile on Nora's face faded a bit)

Nora: we don't know yet, we are still working on it , maybe soon

grandma: I can't wait any longer, I just pray soon

Nora: I should get going, I still need to get him breakfast and some fever medicine

grandma: alright

(I limped my way to kitchen, I knew Aaron noticed it, but grandma didn't really. After I took the breakfast that the kitchen maid made, I took some fever pills and put it at the other side of the tray then was about to walk upstairs when Aaron came to me)

Aaron:let me help you with that

Nora: okay, thanks

(I keep the tray to Aaron and Aaron carried it upstairs while I was coming up slowly. We entered Lucas room, Aaron gave me Lucas breakfast and went to sit on the couch while I sat down on the chair that was beside the bed and fed Lucas. After he finished breakfast I give him the medicine and told him to rest and he did as I told him. I carried the tray back to the kitchen and I live the fever medicine in his room)

(Aaron and I left his room, Aaron helped me take the tray back to the kitchen while I went to the dining to have breakfast then Aaron came to join me)

Nora:(while eating) did you know that grandma was coming today

Aaron:I didn't know, I just saw her this morning

Nora: so, any problem

Aaron: yeah,one

Nora: what is it

Aaron:why were you limping earlier

Nora:oh, yeah, about that, I just hurt my feet

Aaron: What about the hickey

Nora: w--what hickey

Aaron:I saw them, so tell me the truth, what happened last night

Nora:(with sadness and anger in her voice) promise me not to tell grandma or argue with Lucas about this

Aaron: I can't really promise on the side of Lucas

Nora: but please don't mention this one to him or grandma

Aaron: all right,I promise

Nora: yesterday night when you told me to go to Lucas room, so that I could take care of him when he wakes up the next morning, I went but when I got there I noticed that he was uncomfortable because he was still wearing his suit long sleeves and tie, so I tried to help him change to a new shirt. I had successfully removed what he was wearing,it was just to help you put on his shirt and before I knew it, I was when is bed crying for help. Aaron he r***d me last night and it still hurts (she said while crying)

(Aaron to my side and patted my shoulder)

Aaron: shhh! it's okay

Nora:no,it's not okay,he took my virginity

Aaron: at least, he's your husband

Nora:he treated me roughly on my first time.

Aaron: I know how it feels

Nora:you don't know how it feels,you are a man like him

Aaron: I'm a man like him,I know but I am not like him,we are different

(Nora kept on crying until she calmed down)

Aaron: Are you fine now

(Nora nodded)

Aaron:You should go check up on Lucas

(Nora got up and went to the bathroom and washed her face. when she came out,she took a hand towel and cleaned her face)

( After calming down she left her room and went straight to Lucas room.after entering the room,she saw Lucas trying to go to the bathroom and ran to his side to help him)

Lucas:please,Nora, could you bath me

Nora:i--i don't know,sir

Lucas: please I don't have the strength to bath myself,I really need your help in bathing

Nora: alright,I'll bath you

(Nora took Lucas to the bathroom and helped him to bath. when he was done,she changed the bedsheet and then dressed him then she placed him on the bed)

Nora: would you like to eat lunch now, sir

Lucas:yes

(Nora got the lunch for Lucas. She fed him and gave him his medication and was about to leave the room)

Lucas: Nora please come lay with me

Nora:I have things to do,sir

Lucas:please

Nora: alright,sir

(Nora layed down with Lucas on the bed and soon they both fell asleep)
