Robina was still lost in her thoughts when someone knocked on the door. She stood up, her heart heavy, and went to check who it was. When she opened the door, she was surprised to see Elsie standing there, looking uncharacteristically contrite. "Robina, may I come in?" Elsie asked softly. Robina’s eyes narrowed. She was about to close the door, her initial instinct telling her to shut Elsie out, but something made her pause. With a sigh, she stepped aside, allowing Elsie to enter the room. "What do you want, Elsie?" Robina asked, her voice cold. Elsie hesitated, wringing her hands nervously. "I wanted to talk to you, to apologise for everything that’s happened."
