The chamber fell silent. Richard Holloway and Daniel Ashford stared at one another across the room. Neither man reached for a weapon. Neither looked away. Finally, Richard spoke. "I watched you disappear." Daniel's expression remained unreadable. "You watched what William wanted you to see." Richard gave a bitter laugh. "So he fooled all of us." "He fooled everyone except Mercer." Mercer shook his head. "No." "He fooled me too." "I didn't know Daniel had survived until he contacted me three days ago." Benjamin looked at Daniel in disbelief. "You've been hiding all these years?" Daniel nodded. "I had to." "As long as I carried the seventh fragment, no one could assemble Genesis." Richard took a slow step forward. "And now you've brought it to me." Daniel smiled faintly
