Darkness filled the chapel. No one moved. No one breathed. Richard Holloway's voice cut through the silence. "Who's there?" No answer. Only the sound of slow footsteps approaching through the rain. Anthony quietly guided Evelyn and Benjamin toward one of the broken stone pillars. "Stay behind cover," he whispered. A beam of white light suddenly pierced the darkness. Not from a flashlight— From the chapel entrance. A lone figure stood silhouetted against the storm. Long black coat. Silver hair. Calm posture. Richard's expression hardened. "You..." "I should have known." The stranger stepped inside. His eyes settled briefly on Evelyn before returning to Richard. "You've spent twenty-five years chasing something you were never meant to possess." Richard laughed coldly.
