The SUV was three cars back.
Anthony didn’t speed up. Didn’t swerve. “If we run, they know we’re scared. If we act normal, we buy time.”
Evelyn’s hands shook around the hard drive. Her mother’s voice was still looping in her head. _The only person she can trust right now... is Anthony._
Benjamin was already pulling cables from his bag. “We can’t upload this from anywhere traceable. No home wifi. No coffee shop. They’ll triangulate us in 30 seconds.”
“Then where?” Evelyn asked.
Anthony glanced at her in the mirror. “Your grandfather’s old law firm. After hours. It’s got a direct line. And it’s the last place they’d look.”
They ditched the car two blocks away and walked.
